Want to reduce your auto insurance premium by nearly 10 percent? You can do so for a three-year period by taking the AARP Driver Safety Program course — a community service course sponsored by the Northwest AARP Chapter. Also, four points, from violations, can be forgiven with successful completion of this course. To preregister, contact Dick Gretzinger at 225-3276.

Classes are scheduled at 9 a.m. Monday, August 23 and Wednesday, August 25 at Fleming Point Retirement Home, 720 Latta Road, near the intersection with Greenleaf Road.

The course, designed for senior drivers, is mostly discussion, videos, and questions and answers. The fee is $12 for AARP members and $14 for guests.
