The Greece Cobras recently hosted the 22nd Annual Cobra Summer Classic tournament, with over 200 teams from across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Canada flocking to the area to partake in the three day event.
The 2012 tournament say the highest level of participation yet, as there were 60 more teams than 2011. Boys and girls up to the age of 19 competed at three different tournament sites, with each team guaranteed at least three games. Saturday night featured a “Family Fun Festival”, including dinner, entertainment and fireworks.
Most tournament games were played at Total Sports Experience in Rochester, with additional games played at Greece Olympia High School, Greece Arcadia High School, Grace and Truth Sports Park and Buckman Heights Elementary School.
