I’m sure you’re all aware of the much-needed road work on East Ridge Road and the way it is affecting your everyday travel. (I know I am.) I would like to say that the company involved with it needs to be better supervised or inspected by the town.
The long sections of underground installations need to be looked at, as well as the driveways that are affected. The resurfacing of those long strips have not been brought to grade very well, thus causing excessive ruts and potholes. These should be gone over more than one time to make sure that traffic doesn’t have to bounce uncontrollably down the road. It causes wear and tear on your car and also does damage to it.
I’m sure it is hard to work on such a busy road, and the safety factor is an issue too. But the job should be done in a way that is safe and comfortable for the community as well. Town officials should have one of their people monitoring the area as well as the company working on it. It never hurts to double-check the work being done, and how it affects the taxpayers.
