Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce recently held its 32nd annual Community Awards presented by A. Christina Breen-Hale State Farm Insurance Agency at Rochester Marriott Airport Hotel.
GRCC annually recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations whose business and volunteer activities demonstrate significant contributions to the community. Nominations are solicited and received from the community and reviewed by GRCC’s Community Award Selection Committee.
Fresenius Kidney Care of Greece and Heritage Christian Services’ Expressive Beginnings Child Care were recognized with the Building Award for new construction. Ridgemont Country Club received the Building Award for development and transformation of existing space.
Gina DiBella earned the History Award. Paula Kosiorek received the Arts and Culture Award.
The town of Greece and the Greece community received First Responder of the Year. Greece Education Foundation received the Education Award.
Angelo Veltre was named the William E. Selke Senior Citizen of the Year. Betty Griswold was named Girlie Goodwin Citizen of the Year.
Kyle Van Putte, of Van Putte Gardens, received Business Person of the Year. Rhett VanScoter was named Young Professional of the Year.
“Our 32nd annual Community Awards provided us the opportunity to highlight the wonderful talents and assets of our community,” said Sarah Lentini, GRCC president and CEO.
News anchor Doug Emblidge, of 13WHAM, served as master of ceremonies.
