The Alzheimer's Association is offering a variety of education and support groups in February throughout Monroe County.
The support groups are open to friends and family members of those with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. In-home care is also available with one-week advance notice.
Support groups will be held according the following schedule:
Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., at Park Ridge Free Methodist Church, in Greece.
Thursday, Feb. 2, from 1-2 p.m., at Monroe Community Hospital, in Henrietta.
Feb. 7 from 1-2 p.m. at Church of the Assumption, in Fairport.
Feb. 8 from 12:30-2 p.m. at the Pittsford Library, in Pittsford, and from 3-4 p.m. at Cherry Ridge, in Webster.
Feb. 9 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Brockport Free Methodist Church, in Brockport.
Feb. 15 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Penfield Public Library, in Penfield.
Feb. 16 from 1-2 p.m. at St. Cecelia's, in Irondequoit, and from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Pieters Family Life Center (for younger onset patients), in Henrietta.
