Junior Jake Coleman, a Hilton graduate, has been tabbed as an Honorable Mention Preseason All-American by d3baseball.com. The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper also noted Coleman as a player to watch this upcoming season as the Golden Eagles received votes in the 2012 preseason poll.

Coleman is the only State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) player named a preseason All-American. Only three players from New York state were named to either the first, second, or honorable mention teams.

Last season, Coleman was named to the Second-Team All-Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) after batting a team-high .351 and leading Brockport with 37 runs scored and 18 stolen bases. Coleman started 40 games for the Golden Eagles and had a 13-game hitting streak that lasted nearly the entire month of April.

He was also a Second-Team All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) pick as a mainstay at second base. Coleman helped turn 45 double plays for Brockport.
