Hundreds of volunteers have again scoured areas in coastal South Carolina to try to find a New York teen reported missing in Myrtle Beach nearly two years ago.
Monica Caison with the CUE Center for Missing Persons in Wilmington, N.C., says she expects more than 200 people Sunday to search a 12-mile radius near McClellanville for Brittanee Drexel. The same people were on hand Saturday with professional searchers using all-terrain vehicles, horses and dogs.
Dozens of searchers have searched Georgetown, Horry and Charleston counties since the Chili teenager disappeared April 25, 2009, after leaving a Myrtle Beach hotel.
Drexel’s cell phone transmitted its last known signal the next day near the South Santee River in Georgetown County.
