A Victor man and woman were sent to F.F. Thompson Hospital Aug. 31 after a motorcycle crash on Routes 5 and 20 and Moran Road in Canandaigua, said Ontario County sheriff’s deputies.
According to police, Alan Perotta, 60, of Victor, was traveling east on Routes 5 and 20 on a 2003 Harley Davidson. While stopped at a traffic light, a vehicle that was behind the motorcycle — operated by Katherine M. Gleason, 33, of East Chester — started faster than Perotta, and ran into the back of his vehicle, police said.
Perotta, and his passenger Karen Perotta, also of Victor, were transported to Thompson by the Canandaigua Ambulance. Both were wearing helmets.
Gleason was charged with several traffic violations, including following too closely, and for texting while driving, deputies said.
