From Irondequoit to Albany: IB students at Eastridge High School invited to Governor's speech

International Baccalaureate students at Eastridge High School gathered at the school's main entrance early this morning for their trip to Albany, where they will hear, in-person, Governor Andrew Cuomo's State of the State address.

New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo's office invited students from East Irondequoit's Eastridge High School to attend today's 2012 State of the State Address in Albany.

Nearly two dozen students in a "History of the Americas" class that is part of the school's International Baccalaureate program left the school about 6:30 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, Jan. 4, to spend the day in Albany and be in the audience for the governor's 1:30 p.m. speech at the Convention Center at Empire State Plaza in Albany.

The students were accompanied by history teacher Paul Stack and Principal Mary Grow.
