The Monroe County Parks Department is conducting a public field workshop for off-road bicyclists at Tryon Park, off North Winton Road, Rochester, from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 27. Participants should meet at the new parking lot at Tryon Park.
The workshop pertains to the county’s planned off-road bicycling pilot on trails at Tryon Park and Irondequoit Bay Park West.
A public field workshop for Irondequoit Bay Park West is scheduled for early August.
After the workshops are completed, a final trail proposal and assessment is expected to be posted by mid-August. Monroe County Parks Advisory Committee members will then review the proposal and criteria at next month’s meeting.
If approved by the county parks department, trail work would be scheduled to begin in September.
