A Monroe County Jail guard has been arrested and charged with raping female inmates.
Robert Wilson, 41, of Greece, a former sergeant at the Monroe County Jail had inappropriate sexual contact with seven inmates. An indictment was unsealed Friday morning. The indictment comes after a joint investigation with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the District Attorney's Office while Wilson was employed at the jail.
Wilson is charged with one count of criminal sex acts, two counts of rape and 12 counts of sexual abuse in addition to other charges.
Wilson was arraigned in Monroe County Court Friday morning. His bail has been set at $5,000 cash and $10,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to 12 years in state prison.
