Motorists interested in the Diverging Diamond Interchange project at the interchange of I-590 and Winton Road in Brighton can now get an at-the-scene view of the construction work online via webcam.
The purpose of the webcam is to document traffic conditions during the construction phase. The webcam is also a learning tool for construction of future diverging diamonds across the country.
The webcam can be accessed on the project website at www.dot.ny.gov/590winton.
Construction of the $4.9 million project, the first of its kind in New York state, began in May and is expected to be complete this fall.
