The Greater Rochester Celiac Support Group will host its fundraiser "Making Tracks for Celiacs and Gluten-Free Food Fair", which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22.
This year, the event will be held at a new location, Monroe Community College, to allow for growing participation. The event will feature a two-mile walk, gluten free food fair, bake-off, workshops, raffle for prizes and activities for children.
The two-mile walk will take participants through part of the MCC campus and will take off at 1 p.m. Inside the gymnasium, the gluten free food fair will include local and national companies handing out gluten-free samples.
The Making Tracks for Celiacs Walk is a fundraiser for the Greater Rochester Celiac Support Group and the University of Maryland Center for Celiac Research (CFCR). Last year the Rochester walk rose over $35,000 for CFCR. The 2012 goal is to surpass this number and reach $40,000.
