Unity Health System, 1555 Long Pond Road, Rochester, has announced the following new appointments and new staff members.
Barb Gray of Greece will take over as vice president of Unity Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). In her new role, Gray will oversee program and business development, as well as operations. She has been with Unity for 18 years and previously served as senior director, Unity Home Care.
Gray is a registered nurse and has a BSN and a master’s degree in management from Nazareth College.
Cynthia Huether of Fairport has been hired as vice president of behavioral health. She will be responsible for the operational performance of behavioral health in collaboration with Michael McGrath, M.D.
Huether joins Unity from Rochester Rehab Center, Inc. and Rehabilitation Enterprises Inc., where she was president/CEO. She’s also currently involved with the New York State Rehabilitation Association, Nazareth College School of Management Advisory Council, Center Information Services Board of Directors and the Diocese of Rochester.
Jane Shukitis of Spencerport has been appointed senior vice president for aging and community services. Shukitis will oversee business development and operations for Unity’s aging and community services, which include three skilled nursing homes, six adult day programs, home health care programs and a variety of other aging and community programs.
Shukitis is a registered nurse, and has a BSN from Roberts Wesleyan College and a master’s degree in public administration from SUNY Brockport.
Sue Vogl of Chili has been appointed vice president of orthopaedics and neurosciences. Vogl began her career with Unity in 1989 as a case manager for the Acute Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Program. She previously served as senior director, Unity Neurosciences. In her new role, she will oversee program and business development as well as operations for both service lines.
Vogl has a master’s degree in public health from SUNY Brockport.
